Scroll Dawn Light Through a Forest

Andrew Murphy — Birmingham, UK

Thirty years of standing very still in English woodland, long before the sun is up.

Every print begins at first light. No studio, no set-up — only the wood,
the weather, and whatever the morning decides to give.

The photographer

Andrew Murphy is a woodland photographer based in Birmingham UK

As you’ll probably notice, there isn’t the usually required photograph of the photographer. I’m not a comfortable self publicist. What has brought you here has absolutely nothing to do with me as a person. Its to do with the things I see, and the places I visit long before the sun has even gotten out of bed.

Its about 30 years of experience in these environments with a camera on a tripod. I suppose there is a personal hope that, as you look through my work, that you may be able to envision being there with me on these amazing mornings - even if it is only for a moment.
